Greetings to all my wunnerful peeps, each and every one of you… I guess you noticed we had no fridayfractalfeature last week… well, what with tying up the #atozchallenge and all, I thought it best to clear the palette and let’s see what today will bring us in the way of fractals…
Some news, too… I got some stuff going on in my life now that is kinda taking over all my attention and focus for a good chunk of my reality. So I just want to let you know, there may be some times, here and there, where there won’t be a FridayFractalFeature. I need to bring a little variety into my life, too, and start on some study plans for some old software and some new. Not to worry… art is my thing and you’ll never be completely free of me and my digitalistics… whatever happens, it will be all good. You just won’t be able to set your watch by it anymore!!
I REALLY enjoyed participating in the #atozchallenge! I met lots of new bloggers/blogs and hope to get some serious bloghopping into my routines too. Hopefully this means I’ll be passing through your necks of the woods, browsing and commenting and being an overall pest… I miss talking to y’all in your comments, so I want to have some fun with that.
So, as I inferred, I have this big old sword of Damocles hanging over me, while I continue to push this boulder up this mountain, starting over again every time it tumbles to the bottom again. OK, so this might cause me to be away several days in a row, so I don’t want you to worry if I seem to disappear for a bit here and there, every now and again. I know, I’m overdoing it on the mythologies and cliches too, but, that’s the way the meteoroids fall, or something like that!! Anyway, I’ve got so many Social Media going on now, I’m sure to pop up somewhere on your cyberradar at least every few days or so. And I welcome emails, good, bad or ugly… doesn’t mean I’ll read all the ugly ones, but I might put some up for d’art throwing, you never know!!! And you will still be getting a nutritious diet of healthy fractals, so, no worries.
Well, I guess Easter just sort of slid past third, rounded the corner and hit home without all that much todo. Rather like April, now that I think about it. Now we’re in this sort of black hole of winter/spring/summer ish stuff… I’m OK with it all as long as it keeps away the bedeviled 100 degree + Farenheits and 100% + humidities, I’m ok with that.
Oh, and another thing – I have so many virtual books gathering virtual dust on my virtual “to read” bookshelves that I should go off grid for a couple of years, just to catch up, so I can keep up with all the new reads coming out every day.
And now, on with the show… Psi Aquarii is a very new and very favorite of mine own, so it gets to go first… it’s so good I went researching for a great real title and found this actual tri-star system (Psi Aquarii) in the constellation Aquarius (my birth constellation, if you recall)… so it’s a real tri-star system… it was made using a fabulous background/texture created by zummerfish on DA behind an Apo raw fractal of mine…

So, the weekend ahead will be a practice run for me to be 100% sans vehicle. There’s an open steering column, right now, waiting for a secondary but required part so the bent transmission lever (delivered and waiting) can be replaced. The part won’t arrive until Monday. The only joy, here, is that this is the the reason I’m selling the van – to avoid these black hole repairs which are arriving much more frequently and are much more costly – $1200 for this one. It will make waiting for a bus a whole lot easier to live with than I thought it would be!
As soon as I get the fixed van back again, its ad price is going down. Not waaayyyy down, but down. True: I really don’t want to sell the damn vehicle. False: I’ll just wait until the next costly thing breaks down and sell it as is. I gotta make back what I’ve spent over the past couple years in repairs. And that’s not the way to do it!
Have you been enjoying the Z to Z Challenge for April 2013? We are just past the halfway mark and we’re still going strong! Check every day for my fractal posts, now to include links to other awesome #atozchallenge participants… I’m having a ball – so far I haven’t got the feeling anyone is tired of seeing my fractals… and if you are, not to worry just a week and a few days, then we’ll return to our regularly scheduled FridayFractalFeatures… unless…?
For our musical diversion today I found some oldies, but real goodies…
I got carried away on the music there for a while… that’s some goooooood jammin’, eh!?!??!? I forgot to breathe during the damn drum solo…

Well, I believe that will be all for today… Oh, did I mention we got about 6 inches of snow overnight? Yeah, well we did! April Fools’ Month, methinks!!
Check out my new page: Cafe Comics and learn how to get your own ad placed for free!!!
I hope spring is showing its shy face SOMEwhere where some of you are! I hope you enjoy the show and the tunes…
I’m probably doing Marc an injustice, putting him up there with Santana… but, in my mind Walkin’ in Memphis is one of the coolest songs out there! Especially when you see him do it LIVE!
Have you found any new and interesting blogs while/IF doing the #atozchallenge bloghop? I know I have. Today I found an enlightening and peaceful blog by Ida Chiavaro, called Reflex Reactions. She seems like a very mindful and dedicated human. I added her to my awesomeblogsifollow page, and I’ll be following her after the hop too!
I’m excited to announce my sister has come to a decision for which canvas of mine will grace her newly decorated living room. It’s going to be opposite a nice picture window and above a sofa with lamps at either end, so it will always be well lit. I am just beside myself, cuz I think it’s perfect for what said she wanted, teal background and all. You can find it at the top of today’s fractals… FINALLY – a real sale of a room sized piece of my art!! I may just take a picture of it hanging there in all its glory, once she gets it and has it hung. Which, of course I shall share with you (the pic, that is)!!!
I have joined the ranks of the Twitter tweeters. I put it off for so long, and now I wonder why. Not only that, I’ve been introduced to Hootsuite, which is a great place to keep all your social media organized. Hootsuite lets you schedule posts, not only on Twitter, but on both my FB pages, my G+ page (though that’s been confusing me a bit) and even my blog. Not to worry though… all posts to my blog here will always be prepared and, if scheduled, only in WP. No mass posting for my special peeps!! You can tweet me @kppput any darn time you want. Or even follow me. If you do follow me, I’ll follow you right back!
One last thing, I’ve been making more time to create more art than I have for a long time! I can’t tell you how wonderful that is. My mental health is directly related to how much creating/FUN time I get! Both FE and Apo are getting some well deserved attention from yours truly! So that means I still have to put a cap on how much blog hopping, I can do. But I think I’ve got a better handle at visiting more of you, if not every day, at least every once in a while! Lots of my inspiration comes from the bloggers I follow, so there’s no way I’m going to lose out on that fun!
Here we are… Day 6 of the April 2013 AtoZ Challenge… enjoy…
I may have forgotten to mention my theme – it is fractals, fractal art, everything fractal up to and including my new book Fractal Dreams! Have a look around my pages and such to see lots more fractals. Also, every Friday I post a FridayFractalFeature (fff, for short) for all to enjoy! Thanks for stopping by and engaging in the A to Z 2013 Challenge! This is my FIRST ever, so I’m pretty excited! So every day I will post a fractal whose title starts with the letter of the day… and perhaps other things fractal related. How many new bloggers have you met?
F is for…. FRACTALS - of course… the whole kit and caboodle, the topic, the theme, the reason I am here… FRACTAL DREAMS – my recently released book of fractal art, from the soul of Janet Russell aka Buddhakat FRACTALS BY RED – At M3 Blog FRATERCHAOS – Another excellent fractalist who uses MB3D FRACTAL EXPLORER – another free fractal application… it is LOTS of fun
the fractal for F is: Fractals – A Definition
WHAT IS A FRACTAL?
The concept and image are both from the creative Kim Redd, aka ; with her permission I included it in my book FRACTAL DREAMS and wanted to have absolutely for certain copyright free copy, so I wrote it myself. I am thankful to the many fractalists who have said it’s the best definition they have ever seen!
What is a Fractal is in my book, Fractal Dreams, which is available exclusively at RedmundPro.
Disclaimer: I am NOT a mathematician, so please forgive the uneducated tone of my definitions. I am an artist, so I try to explain the math of fractals to the best of my (limited) ability.
Here we are, right in the middle of an A to Z bloghop Challenge… in case you missed it, I am featuring FRACTALS as my theme (what else!?!?). However, that shall certainly NOT interrupt our traditional Friday Feature. Music and all. And as a special treat to my wonderful followers, today’s fractals are all brand spanking new. I’ve been playing around a lot with Fractal Explorer. This site is also chock full of information on fractals. So feast your eyes on some new fractals with a tasty soundtrack…

And there we have another Friday at the Fractal Show! So I ended up posting 4 done with FE and 2 with Apo. “Prom Night” is another in the series for my sister’s living room wall. I really like how this turned out and so did she! We just might have a winner here!
Thanks bunches to all my loyal FridayFractalFeature visitors for your continued support. And welcome to all you wonderful new visitors who have have hopped in for the A to Z fun!
Have a great weekend, everyone! I do believe spring has sprung, even if the weather may be a little less than perfect, winter is taking its graces and fading away…
Guess you’ve probably all heard of the April 2013 A to Z Challenge starting up soon now… if you’re interested to participate, just click the link to the top right to get instructions and how-to’s…
As you are also aware, I’m building around a fractal theme… I’m afraid I’ll run out of words that relate to fractals – you know like Chaos Theory, Benoit B Mandelbrot, et al… if any of you have any suggestions, please don’t hesitate to offer any ideas you come up with… I know I can come up with fractals titled using all letters of the alphabet, but I’m already struggling to keep the related words section from looking puny… any help I get will be appreciated AND credited! I’ll also include fractalists whose username’s fit the alphabetical bill… I hope to get lots of exposure for many more than just myself on this project, so bury your shyness, show your pride and let me know if you want me to include your username and link to your work. (Don’t worry, Red, you’re covered!) I already have a few, but I’m bound to forget someone at the appropriate letter! This old brain seems less able to retain and bring back stuff like that a lot more these days! (The tip of my tongue is filled with just such memories, unfortunately, I can’t see the tip of my tongue!) Leave and suggestions in the comments here or on this page: Fractals, Fractals, Fractals
So, on with the show, shall we…? One of my better sets, if I do say so myself… *blush blush*
Oh my… it’s really SPRING!! YAAAY for everything VERNAL!!! Everyone is already making all their summer plans, even! And “why not?” I say!! Life is short – let’s get ready!
So, instead of waiting until after the summer and asking what you did, I’d love to hear what you’ve got planned for your summer. Vacation or not, summer is the active season, for the most part… the one where we get to do all the outdoor stuff. Always remember, though, there are some who prefer the indoors to the outdoors. Summer, winter matters not. I’m one of each, balanced, I hope. But I know some folks who are over the top one way or the other. So I try not to judge. (You did WHAT last night!?!!?)
So… I think I’m just looking forward to opening all the windows and getting that fresh air circulating. I can smell the spring/summer scents. And maybe the birds will move out of my air conditioners!
Well, then… enough silly talk… let’s get on with the fractals, shall we….?

KOKOPELLI TOO
KokopelliToo is one of my attempts for a wrapped canvas print for my sister’s freshly painted living room wall. The teal background is a dealbreaker for her and it took me a wile to get comfy using it. I’ve made several since this, but this is one of my faves. I think we may have a winner with one of my latest, so we’ll have to see.
Wishing you all a happy weekend, and a happy upcoming pre-Easter week. Wouldn’t it be cool if we ALL got some really divine weather for a while? Let’s work on that…
Good luck on selecting a favorite this week – I’m not sure I could name just one out of this bunch! Multiple faves are accepted! We have a mix again this week of Apo and Fractal Explorer.
