Here’s another tune that I could probably sing (in 3 part harmony) in my sleep! I love this song!! The lyrics really rock!
And… well… Eddie’s voice is just to die for (I know, this is a repeat – first one for ages, though and WORTH it)…
Well, how has your week been? Things sorta getting back into a regular rhythm, back to work, no parties every other day and no presents to look forward to?!? Unless, of course you have a birthday upcoming in January. If you do, happy day to all you Capricorns and Aquariae.
And hopefully ol’ man winter is keeping his worst for later (or not at all would be nice)? We’ve been pretty fortunate here in MN with some arctic temps for a few days at a time with some windchills to tune you up, just a little. But, fingers crossed, not that much snow. Don’t get me wrong, I like the snow and all, it’s just the “Snow Emergency” and cleaning off my van that disallow my desire to hibernate until it all goes away!
And next we prepare for (GAHHH!!!) Valentines Day in retail, everything red and black and chocolate popping up everywhere. I repeat! GAAAHHHH!!! And I don’t mean the chocolate!
My younger sis (as I’m the oldest of my siblings, technically they’re all younger) Virgo Gal and her husband Harley Guy are struggling along, waiting for the year to pass since his heart surgery to see if he’ll get put back on the kidney donatee list. He has to do dialysis at least 3 times a week. And he seems to be losing strength. He was always an active and fit guy (you know a HARLEY Guy!! And a sober Harley Guy at that!) but he weighs less than my sister does now, he just under 6 feet, she about 5’5″ and NOT chunky!!
Part of the issue is the VA, and part is that HG is not that eager to be proactive and keep things moving right along. I guess he’s settled into a sort of comfort zone. But really, he’s quite weak, falls asleep at the drop of a hat (with a lit cigarette in hand). Or he stumbles when he arises, hoping he’ll catch his balance before he runs into a wall or something. And he’s not very happy about things at all. I used to be so impressed by his will-to-live, but now he seems to be fading, right before our eyes. I think his year-after-surgery is just about up, so hopefully things will swing back into action. (My sister just wants that trip to Baltimore – where the transplant and prior testing take place. JK!!!)
On the Sunday between the NFC and AFC championships and the Super Bowl, my late dad would treat all his clan – eight siblings and all their offspring – that’s a lot of Russell Sprouts – to a Sunday Brunch at a nearby Holiday Inn. Well, his wife, Scorpio Lady, has decided to resurrect this momentous event this year and I’m very much looking forward to it.. There are so many of us and we are so scattered, this is the one chance we get to get the largest group of us together (except for the outstaters, usually). There’s just nothing like a good old family reunion! Not to mention Scorpio Lady was/is my best ever customer. She commissioned both some “save-the-date” postcards and some invitation/RSVP postcards, both of
which I designed to order using one of my fractals (PartyMode) as the design for them. I was very proud
(and she very much liked) the result!! She even mentioned commissioning next year’s holiday cards from me!!!
SO! Enough about me… tell me how’s things are for you…
Oh, and while you think about that, here’s some fractals to keep your eyes occupied…
As an artist, I do not create fractals, I explore them. Deeply.~ Janet Russell aka Buddhakat
OK, all… hope you have a great weekend, full of anything you want…

Bubbing scrubbles is fun; my favorite is the “Your point is?” What happened to Lights? Vaca nearly over, but I have been busy with shiny things. I left one in your inbox 😉 ❤ xxx
Howdy, Red…”Your Point Is…?” is OK, but I don’t feel any magic from it yet. I’m glad you like it – there is hope for it after all! Maybe it’s just not quite done yet… “The Lights” got gnarled (a fractal style)in the silliness of a double upload and a not careful delete! …. ok…. running off to check inbox… shiny things… yeah!!!! wait… what… do I hear Lizzie’s voice up in here!?!?!?
hugs galore…
🙂
Today’s batch has an art deco feel to it. I am hung in Julias and some of the sphericals, but I have not found a decent tutorial for spirals. I want to do some linear spirals. May just have to so them from scratch. 😉 I have a surprise coming up next week you will enjoy 😉 ❤
do you know how hard it was to say/remember that title (Bubbing Scrubbles) the way I wanted it!?!?!?
terribly!!
🙂
Love Lattice, but my favorite is actually the one on the invitation. Looked like a birds eye view of champagne glasses with fireworks.
Where on earth did you dig up Dan Hill? Haven’t heard that song in years!
(And of course, I hope there’s good news soon for Harley Guy.)
Awesome, EG! That’s the best description (Party Mode) I think I’ve heard n any of my fractals!! That one just named itself right out the gate! I’m glad you liked Latticed. That’s two I posted this week that I wasn’t that excited about but got a thumbs up from someone! Thanks!
Gotta love that Dan Hill!! He was in the dredges of my memories and browsing utube, something made me think of him!! Hope you liked it!
Thanks on behalf of Harley Guy… it’s not easy, when it comes time to stand nose to nose, shoulder to shoulder with our own mortality!
hope your weekend is superb, my friend!!
🙂
I hope your sister’s husband starts to get better.
Scrubbing Bubbles reminds me of an army of mice for some reason.
EEEEEK – mices!!! An army of something – not necessarily a good something, either! Thanks, Binky for your health energies to Harley Guy. And my sister needs supportive thoughts too! She’s was secondary caregiver for our mom for a couple years, but she is primarily 100% responsible for HG’s care these days. And worries about not being able to protect him, if he starts a fire while she’s at work, or some such crap.
Hope your weekend rocks!!
🙂
I am consistently amazed by your fractal work. Beauty in the making. and thanks for the Dan Hill song, long time since I heard it and it’s one of my absolute faves – got it bookmarked now on YouTube, so thanks for that. As always, a pleasure to drop by. 🙂
What a nice thing to say, Judee! Thank you most kindly! I have to agree with you on the Dan Hill tune – it’s probably in my all time top ten!! As always, a PLEASURE to have you stop in and chat!
have a great weekend…
🙂
Inner Turmoil reaches out and touches me today. I felt it inside.
Well, I hope that doesn’t mean you are in inner turmoil, Valentine! I’m glad you like it – I can alsot hear some moaning or screaming going on too (I know, I’m weird)!!!
Take care, my friend!
🙂
Ganesh definitely my fav, followed by Bubbing Scrubbles.
Wishing good vibes to Harley Guy.
Thanks for the healthy chi you’re emitting… I really loved Ganesh – I had it for a month or more before the perfect title came to me. I won’r just settle for any title, you know! There’s website where you can get titles suggested for abstract works – it’s all very random, and while some of those titles are awesome, I’ve yet to find one that fits the piece I’m trying to title! Random, like “Black Butterfly Ears” (I made that one up)! Take care, Frank and stay warm as you can!

I’m fasinated by: And Your Point Is!
Hope all is well.
I’m so happy to hear that, Tess… it was sort of a meh one for me, so I’m glad to hear that some folks like it!!
