Work, work, work… and when I’m not doing that, I be battling one health issue or another. And that’s why you haven’t seen me around for a while… and man, that time can get away from you! First it’s a few days, then a week or two, morphing into a month, then before you know it it’s been months, the year’s on its last legs. And here I am wondering where I’ve been and what I’ve accomplished!
Truth is, I have been spending almost all my time making and posting products for my Cafe Press and Zazzle stores. Rather tedious, but, honestly, I do like doing it. I have about 600 products (so far) in my Cafe Press store. And that’s making each product separately, on its own, then posting. Now’s the time to do it – the shopping season is short this year, so I’ll be continuing this marathon for at least a few more weeks. I consider the higher volume of products the better. And it’s very cool that one can post products for sale for no money up front!
One of the things I really enjoy about Cafe Press is the various types of products one can create. I’ve made curtains (60″ x 84″) 5×7 area rugs, pillows galore, beach towels and shower curtains . I can vouch for the quality of the last two – I ordered both a shower curtain and a beach towel and was delighted. Yes, more pricey that your regular Target shower curtain or beach towel, but the uniqueness of designs is well worth it!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Black Friday and your fill of football for the weekend! Whatever was your pleasure, may it keep you full of warm memories to last a very long time.
I really don’t even know what’s been going on in the world – I’ve cocooned myself away here, nose to the keyboard – like I said work, work, work.
I did take a short break to see Elton John in concert. What an amazing man who sure seems like he enjoys himself up there on stage and interacting with his very faithful audiences. He and his crew were onstage for almost 3 hours, of solid floor shaking rock and roll, Elton style.
This is about the longest I’ve allowed myself away from filling my shops, so I guess I better get back to work. But first, let’s see what we can find in the way for fractals for your viewing pleasure…
love to you all…
🙂
Big sales going on right now at my two shops below. Lowest prices ever, that will last AT LEAST through the end of 2013…
Buddhakat’z Dazzling Zazzle Shoppe
FUNNY (sorry if it offends): http://www.buzzfeed.com/erinchack/questions-new-jerseyans-are-tired-of-hearing
So, I’ve been very busy getting my Zazzle Shoppe and my Cafe Press Store ready for a big holiday season. Very tedious work, for each of them, but rewarding when I see them fill up with product. I welcome any feedback, thoughts, etc!
And of course, for those giftees that are impossible to buy for, there’s always my book Fractal Dreams. Or a whole bunch of other books over there at Redmund pro, from memoir, to self help to poetry and in between!
OK, must get back to work now… the shops are calling…
🙂
Greetings, one and all… I don’t know about you, but I say HOORAY for autumn!!! I love summer and all, but I think my body prefers the summers of Alaska or upper Canada. I’ve had it with these 90 FÂ day/nights!
OK, so I threw my back out last week and am just now able to consider mobility without my body at a 90 angle to itself. I hurt so bad I had to postpone the liver biopsy scheduled for earlier this week…Â I’m talking can’t stay conscious, nauseating pain – anyone ever having had back injuries knows what I mean.
So, unable to do do anything but get up out of bed (hardly), well, I thought I’d do some behind the scenes browsing, just to see what I can find. At FineArtAmerica, turns out my images all show how many viewers each has had since I uploaded them. Some I’m surprised, some I’m proud and some I just knew would be received well… these numbers do NOT include my own views of each work, which in itself is helpful…
So here’s a sampling of my more popular works on FineArtAmerica…
FLYING CARPET PARKING LOT – can’t say this one surprises me – it’s gotten lots of cool comments… and it is pretty cool, if I do say so myself! Even made it to the cover of a newly released indie author’s sci-fi book Jabberweil Hunt
next, WREATHING and ORNAMENTALS are a couple of wannabe “seasonal” pieces. I’ve hardly ever set out to make something “seasonal”, but these had that feeling when they were done, so I went with it in titling them…
WHERE’S GODOT? – This one’s popularity did surprise and please me quite a bit… it’s one of my more technically skilled creations…
HIDDEN RAINBOWS – another surprise, sort of… it’s one of my earliest good pieces so it holds a special place in my heart. Plus, it is a beautiful piece! And to this day in my personal top ten!
CORSAGE – finally today, there are all kind of reasons why this both surprises and delights me that it’s so popular… I don’t do flora very often, I hardly ever use(d) orange and it really popped when it was done. And, it’s one in a series that sort of fall into a category of flora, orange, barn, hoe down, line dancing and such. (don’t know why – just the way it happened).
Now this was a very stimulating to me with this filter through which to select this weeks choices. I will continue my research and come back with some more of the same. It’ll be interesting to see how the sites (FineArtAmerica, DeviantArt, RedBubble) differ, or even if they do. This is one of the few sites that shows list of submissions with many stats, so I can see at a glance.
Also while I’ve been laid up this week, good old Clyde from M3 land was on a walkabout and caught wind of one of my more entertaining encounters in the feifdom of customer service. Here in Bhuddaville and in true cyber style. Having worked the industry for my entire career, it’s a subject close to my heart – once a manager, always a manager, I guess. Anyway, this one’s called The eBay Saga. That will be up (here and maybe at M3 too) sometime this week… even if it’s not finished, it will be an entertaining ride through the ranks of those in the service of customers. And, so far, believe it or not, eBay is one of the good guys in this funny tale of behavior, bullying and ballast. It’s a tale of condescension, expectations and, by Clyde, it’s enough to make an ape ponder! (trademark Red of M3 fame)
OK, then, that’s it for today… hope autumn is rolling in for you with all its sense memories intact, mostly the of the scent variety in orchards, in kitchens all across the land. Apples and cider and spices, oh my! Pumpkins and crackling leaves beneath your feet and a bit of chill in the night, oh my!
Until next time… namaste.

OK already… I got distracted – while I was out seeking interesting or related things I got waylaid at Cafe Press and realize I haven’t yet opened my shoppe with them. I haven’t opened a new shop from scratch for a long while, so I have my work cut out for me. Sorry I got distracted by shiny things. It’s now time to publish this post and get to work! (Good thing I’m still virtually laid up for a while!)
*** cheers…
Thank goodness these fractals only bring joy and peace and smiles. Certainly the rest of the world doesn’t even come close to such claims! That said, and as Tess says, “let’s CUT the crap”. On with the fractals, then… it shall be so…

OVER THERE AT THE M3 BLOG, a guest post by me for Red…
Here it is… here is my guest post over at M3 Blog entitled “To Review… or Not” I hope you get a chance to head on over and have a read…
I had a specific reason for writing it, and that, of course, was to encourage any of you, my dearest peeps out there, to read my book Fractal Dreams, and the to kindly review it over there at Redmund Pro. In fact, if you are so inclined, please email me or get a hold of me in any of my various carnations and I can see you get a FREE e-copy of the book, Fractal Dreams. You can download a .pdf file of the book, which you then can enjoy, at your leisure on your very own computer or laptop or tablet or wherever you can open an Adobe .pdf file. If you email me at kppput@yahoo.com, or tweet me, or reach out and touch me in any way you can think of, I’ll get to you a FREE .pdf file of my very first ever book, Fractal Dreams. Please? I’d be ever so grateful!
Keep in mind, if you’d prefer to buy (gasp) a copy of your very own that would be even better. And, still I would ask of you to write me a review and post it to the Redmund Pro “write a review” section. To be honest, I want to see a whole bunch new reviews there, that I can then share with ayouse, my peeps on Twitter and FB and maybe even here on Buddhakat the Blog or maybe at one of my shops where my art is available to purchase in various products, like prints, stretched canvas prints, acrylic prints, metal prints, magnets, coasters, iPhone or iPad cases or even a delightful little mouse pad, if you still use one of those. I’m even going to repoen my Etsy shop for a bit, once I get it all straightened away and sell some mousepads (maybe a mug or 2) over there at my Buddhakat’s Etsy Shop (no link, it’s not actually active at the moment).
So, anyhoo, hope you can hop on over to M3 and catvch my guest post and… well, you know the rest… (I’m feeling a little excited here, with the thought that I may get some new reviews for my cute little first ever book… ok – I’ll cut it out! Quit that, Janet. Really!
And I really would like to get your permissions to repost your review on over at GoodReads too, or any other locations that pop into my head… Or you could go around looking at some of the reviews I have written for other books…
…
okee dokee…
…here’s a little tune to get you on your way…
bye bye for now, y’all….
